The Bit Player

Join us at the Connection Lab on Friday, November 18th for a screening of The Bit Player, a documentary on the life and work of computer scientist pioneer Claude Shannon, also known as the father of information theory.

The event will be hosted by Professor Kleinrock, who was advised by Shannon in his committee while a PhD student at MIT. Professor Kleinrock went on to create the foundations of the internet with his work in queueing theory, and is also known as the father of the internet.

The Bit Player is produced and directed by Mark Levinson in cooperation with the IEEE Information Theory Society.
